Digital Recorders

A DVR is a device that stores video data in a digital format for future playback. The main difference between a DVR and a VCR is that a VCR uses an analog format to store data on a magnetic tape. A DVR stores its data in a digital format on a non-removable storage device, just as a computer stores its data on a hard drive. The amount of video that can be stored on a DVR depends on the size of the storage device, the frame rates desired, and the number of cameras being recorded. Commerical applications are fully capable of recording 30 frames per second and gathering months, even years, of footage. Our digital recorders can be limited to as few as one to four cameras or be integrated with a full matrix to accommodate upwards of 96 cameras and beyond.

With the convenience of new state-of-the-art technology implemented in modern CCTV systems, digital quality has dramatically increased providing multiple recordings which can display real time color images to the end user– whether on location or remotely. These new systems are cost effective and easy to operate and, in many cases, we can upgrade your existing system to work with top of the line digital recorders at half the cost of buying a completely new system. We also have the capability to link your system through full automation control, such as Crestron, allowing you to utilize touch screen options rather than standard keyboards and mouse. We also have extensive background in wireless units and fiber optic installations.
